Is OBG free for experts?
Yes. There is no subscription, no fee to apply, and no commission on your hourly rate. The buyers who hire us to staff briefs pay us — never the experts who deliver them.
Who pays me?
OBG pays you directly every Friday for hours delivered in the prior week. We are the employer on record — funds clear from us to you, not from any third party. Choose ACH, Wise, or PayPal in your profile.
Who posts the work?
Frontier AI labs, LLM teams, and regulated-industry buyers contract OBG directly to staff their briefs. We then publish each brief on our internal queue — with a transparent hourly rate, a duration estimate, and the field plus credentials required. You see the full terms (and the rate we will pay you) before accepting. Your contract is with OBG, not the buyer.
Do I have to sign in with Google?
Yes — for now, Google is our only sign-in method. It removes password-reset friction, gives us strong account security via Google's anti-abuse stack, and means there's no new credential for you to remember.
What credentials do I need?
It varies by field. Math, code, and translation briefs often accept self-taught experts with strong portfolios. Medical, legal, and regulated-finance briefs require verifiable degrees (MD, JD, CFA, etc.). The onboarding flow shows you exactly which fields each credential unlocks.
How does the matching actually work?
After verification, you set your rate floor, weekly hours, and the fields you accept. When we open a new brief, our matcher scores every verified expert on credentials + field fit + availability + rate, and offers it to the top match. You accept or decline; on decline we re-offer to the next match within ~10 minutes.
Can I pause new offers when I'm busy?
Yes. The dashboard has a one-click "pause matching" toggle. While paused, your existing briefs keep flowing — but no new offers are made until you unpause or schedule a return date.
Is there a minimum hourly commitment?
No. You set your own minimum — even 4 hours a week works. The matcher just sends fewer (but higher-fit) briefs to low-availability experts. Many of our specialists work 6–10 hours a week at $50+/hour.
How does OBG protect my account?
Every expert account is tied to a verified Google identity. We monitor per-brief quality scores, flag at-risk projects before they affect your standing, and coach you back to top-tier status when something dips. We will never do work on your behalf or under your name.
I'm an AI lab or enterprise — how do I hire your roster?
Email support@outbreakglobal.com with the field, expected hours, target start date, and credential requirements. We onboard new buyers in 5 working days, staff your brief from our verified roster, and deliver the first matched experts within 24 hours of launch.
What languages and countries do you support?
Experts in 47 countries and 80+ languages today. The matcher respects each brief's hiring geography — so a brief gated to EU residents won't be offered to a US-based expert, and vice versa.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings on your dashboard and click "Delete account." We immediately stop all matching, anonymise your record within 30 days, and erase all transactional data after the legally required retention window.
